Is it really free?+
Yes. Looma Beauty Camera is free in any app built on AppLooma RTC, commercial or not. There is no licence fee, no per-user charge and no watermark.
Does it work offline after the first download?+
Yes. The SDK ships the small card pictures; a mask or background downloads the first time a user picks it and then stays on the device. Skin, face shaping, make-up and filters need no download at all.
Will it slow the phone down?+
It runs on the GPU at roughly 10 ms a frame at 1080p on a mid-range phone. Masks add almost nothing; background replacement adds person segmentation. When no face is in view, face effects fade out smoothly.
Can I hide the panels and use my own UI?+
Yes. The panels are optional. Every preset, beauty item, make-up look, filter, mask and background can be set from code, so you can build any UI you like.
Do camera frames leave the device?+
No. Face tracking and segmentation run on the device. Viewers receive the processed video through your normal AppLooma RTC channel.
